Dr Lynne Corner
Dr Lynne Corner is Director of Engagement, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Newcastle University. She leads for VOICENorth - a large organisation established to harness the insights and experience of the public for research and innovation. She also leads for Patient Involvement for the NIHR Newcastle Biomedical Research Centre.
Lynne is a social geronotologist with over 20 years research experience. She has a particular interest in involving the public in research on ageing, health and demographic change and how research can be translated for societal and economic impact and benefit. She also specialises in dementia research and in technologies for an ageing population and is interested in assessment of well-being and service evaluation. Lynne also directs the NE Dementia Innovation Hub and chairs the NE Dementia Alliance - a stakeholder group established by the Department of Health to support the effective implementation of the National Dementia Strategy in the North East.
