WP2 - Data gathering & analysis
With Newcastle University leading, questionnaires will be distributed to chemical engineering departments worldwide (utilising associate partner contact databases) and interviews with academics, students and relevant industrialists will be carried out to establish ways in which employability skills are currently developed and assessed and the means by which the quality of teaching in general is recognised and rewarded at the individual, institutional, national and international levels. Together with detailed literature review, the resulting data analysis will provide a comprehensive overview of current state-of-the-art in this area and the breadth of teaching and learning methods, information and communication technologies, virtual and simulated laboratories used in engineering education.
