The FMS Information Governance for Health Research Group (FMS IGHR) is a standing committee accountable to the Faculty Research Innovation Committee (FRIC). Its objective is to support and drive the broader information governance agenda, ensure effective management of information risk and provide the FRIC with the assurance that best practice mechanisms for information governance are in place within the Faculty of Medical Sciences. The group also has responsibility for Data Security Protection Toolkit across the University.

The group is chaired by Prof Andrew Blamire as part of his role as Dean of Translational Medicine who is the Toolkit Information Risk Officer (TIRO).   The TIRO is supported in his role by Wendy Craig the the Information Security Officer (FMS), and Information Governance Lead for the toolkit.  

The committee meets every quarter.
