FMS IGHR Group

The FMS Information Governance for Health Research Group (FMS IGHR) is a standing committee accountable to the Faculty Research Innovation Committee (FRIC) and reporting to the Information Security Committee. Its objective is to support and drive the broader information governance agenda, ensure effective management of information risk and provide the FRIC with the assurance that best practice mechanisms for information governance are in place. The group also has responsibility for Data Security Protection Toolkit across the University.

The group is chaired by Prof Andrew Blamire, the Toolkit Information Risk Officer (TIRO), as part of his role as the Dean of Translational and Clinical Research Institute. 

The committee meets every quarter.
