Project Description:

Sustainability in Power Electronics

This project includes life cycle assessment (LCA) and material analysis of power electronics.  This is essential for the industry as there is a big push for manufacturers to declare the environmental impact of their products.  This will be done using LCA techniques covering the raw materials, manufacturing processes, transport, use, and disposal.  The findings can be used to highlight significant impacts from materials/processes and optimize product design.
