How to play
The Cross River Adventure is an educational research style of game with easy-to-follow rules on how to play.
To start playing, submit the answer 'Start' into the play now section of this website.
You are then tasked with answering questions and other tasks in order to progress through each of the levels.
The answer of the previous question will be the key to be able to work out the prompt, which will then give the answer to unlock the next question.
Many of these answers can be found in the useful information section, so be sure to read these sections before/during the game.
Once you have submitted the correct answer, a message will appear on your screen informing you that you are correct, and telling you what the next question you have to solve is.
Each question will inform you which prompt it corresponds with.
All prompts can also be found in the 'play now!' section to the left, and are all different from one another.
The game will increase in difficulty as you progress through it, but don't let that deter you from reaching the end.
If you do forget which question or prompt you need to work out, just input the last answer you got into the system again and it will inform you of where you are up to.
If you get an answer wrong you do not have to start again! Just input the last answer you had to get back to the same stage you were upto before you gave an incorrect answer.
The Downloadable worksheet tells you which answers give rewards, and can be found in 'play now!' section to the left.
While encouraged to go through the questions yourselves, don't be afraid to work in teams to try and reach the end.
Part of this adventure is to show you how building a better connected community can decrease the time needed for conservation efforts to become more effective, and allow for benefits to be expressed much sooner.
Don't feel rushed to come back and submit your answers as soon as you have them as rewards will be waiting for you whenever you are ready.
Be sure to continue exploring information sources and find out as much as you can about conservation practices and the organisations which enforce them.
I hope you find this game interesting, fun and different and wish you good luck on your adventure!
