Bex Harvey is originally from London but completed her Undergraduate study in Fine Art at the University of Cumbria. During her time there she conceived and co-directed a number of initiatives with a view to expanding the cultural repertoire in Cumbria; a sentiment she now wishes to extend to the North-East, where she is currently in year one of the MFA programme at Newcastle University.
Her work typically surrounds the concept of the readymade, be it object, instance or sound. Working both independently and in collaboration, She has produced a number of widely attended exhibitions and live performances, such as solo endeavour my inner-most thoughts (2011) and We Could be Rich and Famous (2012) in collaboration with Victoria MacDonald.
