Dr Thilo Lang

With a PhD in human geography and being trained as a planner, Dr Thilo Lang is working at the intersection of regional policy, planning, economic geography and regional studies with a strong interest in uneven development, socio-spatial polarisation, decline and regeneration. Thilo's research is about local and regional development in the context of socio-spatial polarisation and studied through the lens of spatial justice. Recent projects focussing on peripheralised places have been linked to issues of innovation, local democracy, knowledge transfer and spatial imaginaries.
