Dr Nadir Kinossian was awarded a PhD in City and Regional Planning from Cardiff University, for work on urban governance in Russia (2010). Nadir's general research interests include urban and regional development, planning policy, postsocialist city, and cultural landscapes. Recently, Nadir has been working on agentic and institutional aspects of urban and regional change in old industrial regions in Europe and Russia. In the future, Nadir would like to do more comparative research on urban change in variegated institutional and political conditions, which would include Europe, USA, and Russia.
