Research Interests
The development and application of modelling techniques in biology and medical systems. I am interested in both strategic modelling approaches – where the objective is to use modelling to investigate general biological principles - and tactical modelling - where the objective is to use modelling to solve specific applied problems.
Key focii of research:
i) the epidemiology of Campylobacter
ii) the epidemiology of community acquired pneumonia and empyema
iii) modelling the impacts of interventions in knee replacement therapy
iv) modelling human exposure to environmental contaminants
iv) Discrete event modelling of health interventions
v) the epidemiology of brood disease in bees
vii) the epidemiology of bovine TB
