I am a quantitative ecologist who uses spatial and temporal modelling approaches to analyse complex systems. My research interests are in applied biology with policy relevance focussing on vertebrate species population management. I am particularly interested in human-wildlife interactions and analysing conflict between them. These include wildlife disease, invasive species ecology and management and species exploitation. I have significant experience in analysing vertebrate systems of policy concern, both terrestrial and aquatic, through collaborations with government agencies (AHVLA, FERA, EA) and international universities (RUSVM).
I have a background in marine biology where I have used stable isotopes to investigate food web ecology of reef systems. I have also experience of modeling crustacean live history and migration patterns and conducting crab and lobster stock assessments.
