TEI Workshop 2023-07

On 26 - 27 July 2023, James Cummings will be offering a free in-person intensive introduction to basic TEI encoding, with an introduction to LEAF-Writer. Open to anyone.

The Guidelines of the Tex Encoding Initiative are the de facto standard for encoding full text for historical research and analyis. As part of this workshop a new (beta) tool LEAF-Writer will be demonstrated which allows easy markup of texts and named entity recognition with linking of these names to semantic web authorities.

• Marking Up Named Entities
• Common TEI Elements

27 July 2023: 

• Transforming and Publishing TEI
• Using LEAF-Writer
• Customising TEI (If time)
