Your research articles should be 3000-4000 words in length.

In addition, they should include abstracts of no more than 150 words summarizing your main points.

They should present ideas or information and/or discuss findings that advance the fields of Education, Communication and Applied Language Sciences.

Authors should explain the significance of their study and supply 5 keywords for their study. Data instruments should be included as appendices in jpeg format. These need not be included in the word count.

Your literature review articles should be 3000-4000 words in length.

In addition, they should include abstracts no more than 150 words summarizing your main points and supply five keywords for the study.

They should review the latest literature in a specific area relevant to the fields of Education, Communication and Applied Language Sciences.

Contributors are asked to take into consideration the following important factors when writing their articles:

• Articles should be of current interest in Education, Communication and Applied Language Sciences and of relevance to the readers of "ARECLS". 

• They should be clearly and coherently written so that the contents are internally consistent and accessible to the readership. 

• Articles must demonstrate an awareness of important recent work carried out in the area on which they report and reflect the state of the art.

Your reviews or reports should be no more than 2000 words in length.

They should review books or evaluate teaching materials in the field of Education, Communication and Applied Language Sciences such as books, textbooks, dictionaries, computer software or websites.

In general, reports should include the following and supply five keywords:

• A table of basic information at the beginning of the reports (keeping in mind that not all of these categories may apply, while others that are not listed might.)
• A general description of the product (what is it and what does it try to do?)
• An evaluation of the product (how well does it achieve its purpose, for whom might it be beneficial, does it have any shortcomings)

The forum section contains responses to articles previously published in ARECLS and discussion of issues raised.

Responses of maximum 1500 words should follow the submission guidelines and be submitted in the way specified below.

Interviews may be conducted with academics on issues of current importance.

The interviews should contain an introduction and then continue in question and answer format.

The text should be 3000-4000 words in length.

We publish abstracts of research theses which have been submitted in the School of Education, Communication and Applied Language Sciences. 

Abstracts should be submitted following the general guidelines in this document and should contain:

• Name of graduate 
• Degree obtained
• Year of graduation
• Full title of thesis
• Name of supervisor(s)
• Abstract of no more than 1000 words
• Current contact details and biodata (if desired)

Reports may be written of conferences relevant to the scope of this journal.

Reports should contain full information on the conference, including website links. 

Reports may review plenary and parallel sessions and papers and report on discussion and workshops.

Send your contribution as an MS Word attachment in two versions.

Version A should be anonymous, i.e. it will not contain your name or your biographical data. Version B should have your name after the title on the first page and have a biographical data section as the final section of the document.

Attachment filenames should include the version but not include your name, e.g. thinkingskillsversiona and thinkingskillsversionb. A word-count must be included. 

Your email should state that you are submitting for ARECLS and should specify which type of contribution you are attaching.
