First Meeting

6th March 2009, Research Beehive room 2.20, Newcastle University

The Tyne-Forth Prehistory Forum aims to bring together archaeologists involved with research into prehistoric archaeology in north-east England and south-east Scotland. The first meeting aims to consider how research priorities identified by current and previous work, such as the North-East Regional Research Framework, could be addressed. The Forum aims to act as a venue for the discussion of current research and an environment in which interested parties can discuss future research projects. Members may also be interested in promoting collaborative research and providing co-ordinated responses to regional research framework documents. Meetings will usually be a day long, occur twice yearly, and consist of a combination of research presentations, presentations on issues for discussion, and informal discussion on topics proposed by members in advance.
