Dr Roberto Cilia

Since 2004 Roberto has been working on Parkinson's disease and related syndrome research at the Parkinson Center (CTO, Milan), initially as a specialist and as a Medical Director since 2010. 

In 2009 he specialized in Neurology at the University of Milan-Bico and completed a Research Fellowship at the PET Imaging Centre (University of Toronto, Canada) in neuroimaging in Parkinson's disease.

From 2015 to 2017 he was a Lecturer for a First Level Master at the University of Milan. Since 2017 he has been a Lecturer for the School of Specialization in Neurology at the University of Milan-Bicocca.

From 2017 to 2019 he acted as Director of the Biobank of the Parkinson Center, Telethon Network of Genetic Biobanks. Since 2019 he has been a Medical Director at the Neurology Department 1.

Clinical and research activities

Active in the field of clinical research on Parkinson's disease (Scopus H-Index 32).

International awards include the Young Researcher award from the Movement Disorders Society (Buenos Aires, 2010) and 'Excellence in Neurology of the Year 2016' award from the SIN and Société Française de Neurologie (Toulouse, 2017).

Member of the Editorial Board of the journal 'Parkinsonism and Related Disorders'.
