Parkinson’s disease is a growing global health challenge, yet people living with Parkinson’s in many African countries face major barriers to diagnosis, treatment, and support.

TraPCAf brings together people with Parkinson’s, researchers and healthcare professionals across Africa and the UK to understand those challenges, and develop practical ways to improve care.

Led by Newcastle University and funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), the programme combines clinical research, epidemiology, and lived experience across seven interconnected areas of work.
