Summer Sharing Challenge

Welcome to the Summer Sharing Challenge 2026 - a simple, fun reading challenge for families with children aged 5-11!
Spend a few minutes each day sharing a book together and build a habit that your child (and you!) will enjoy.
What does the challenge involve?
See how many days in the summer holidays you and your child can read together for at least 15 minutes. You can read anything you like - books, graphic novels, encyclopaedias, comics or magazines - follow your child's interests and enjoyment. They can read to you, or you can read to them, or you can take turns. Whatever works for you. There is no right or wrong way to take part - it's just about enjoying reading together.
At the end of the summer holidays, if you fill in our 'finishers' form to let us know how many days you managed and how you found the challenge, you will be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 shopping voucher.
Why take part?
- Help your child enjoy reading more, whatever their reading level
- Spend relaxed time together
- Fit reading into your routine in a manageable way
