Joint IFLA AR-URBIO conference in Panama City

Mark Goddard represented the SUCCESS project at the Urban Biodiversity and Design (URBIO) and the International Federation of Landscape Architects, Americas Region (IFLA-Americas) joint Conference in Panama City which was held between 25 – 27^th October (http://www.iflaurbiopanama2016.com/).  The conference was a new collaboration between designers and urban scientists and the theme of the meeting was ‘From Cities to Landscape: Design for Health and Biodiversity’.  Mark chaired a session on Ecosystem Services in which he also presented his paper entitled: “Carbon Capture Gardens:

Engineering urban soils for carbon capture, biodiversity and other ecosystem services”.

The SUCCESS project consists of a number of partners and research affiliates which all help contribute to its development. The university partners are supported by an advisory panel drawn from UK central and local government, industry and academia.
