Research visit at the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana
In October 2019, I spent a research stay at the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana, where I consulted a number of Greek manuscripts carrying Philotheos Kokkinos' works, including the fourteenth-century Vat. gr. 809, which transmits the unedited Logos on All Saints (BHG 1617g).
During my visit, I made a novel identification of Kokkinos' hand on the first folio of the fourteenth-century Vat. gr. 705, in which he made other autograph interventions. The intervention I identified, made in red ink, is only visible upon the autopsy of the codex, and cannot be noticed in the digital reproductions on the DigiVatLib.
