It is World Kidney Day on Thursday 12th March and to celebrate a group of keen renal scientists (@Kidney_NCL) have arranged a day of events to promote renal research, organ and blood donation in Newcastle and to fundraise for kidney charities.
Home baking donations from members of the Renal Research group and @Kidney_NCL will be available for a bake sale in the entrance foyer of Newcastle medical school.
The proceeds of the bake sale will go to Northern Counties Kidney Research Fund or if you wish to donate now, go to https://www.justgiving.com/Kidney-Ncl
In addition, there will be a clothes collection in collaboration with Clothes for Charity, to raise money for Kidney Research UK.
Finally, participants are encouraged to further show their support by wearing something purple and tweeting their photos.
