Marta joined the Medical School Project Management Team in 2023 and has been involved in several projects providing budget, risk and milestone management throughout the life of the project. She holds a PRINCE 2 certificate. 

She first started working at Newcastle University in 2016 as Project Administrator at the Medical School supporting day to day activities of the research teams in areas as varied as diary management, travel and events’ organisation, budget monitoring, purchasing and payments, recruitment and other HR initiatives.  

Marta has over 25 years of experience across the private sector, higher education and charities in the UK, USA and Portugal.
