Our Research
How will we deliver the project?
The project has a series of five work packages, each with a lead, focusing on a specific area of research.
We will welcome leaders in research from across our community to join us as ‘co-researchers’ in the project’s journey.
- Adopt a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach to ensure that our work is coproduced with our research community and responsive to the complex needs of our own context.
- Develop and pilot a contextualised, sustainable and scalable six-month Leadership Development intervention based around reflexive practices that builds leadership practices and behaviours promoting psychological safety.
- Align existing reward and recognition practices and explore and propose the implementation of a ‘values-led’ recognition system to facilitate changes in leadership practices, providing and incentivising a positive environment for change.
- Advocate for change inside and outside the university to help address factors affecting psychological safety that sit outside of our own institutional context.
- Evaluate our approach and interventions to understand what works and what doesn’t, so that we can share with other institutions looking to build their own leadership capacity and practice.
