Elena Olariu

I am a public health researcher with a special interest in developing effective and accurate ways to measure self-reported health. My academic background is in Pharmacy and Mental Health and I have work experience in pharmaceuticals industry, academia and consultancy.   

During my PhD at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Spain, I worked on developing two questionnaires designed to improve doctors’ detection levels of depression and anxiety disorders.

My main research interests are:

  • Development and psychometric properties of quality of life instruments
  • Development of preference based measures
  • Mental health
  • Health inequalities 
  • Social care
