Approximately 5,000 people every year are diagnosed with HIV in the UK. Using anti-retroviral medications can reduce the risk of catching HIV or giving HIV to someone else. However, little is known about what is it like for people to use these medications every day, what motivates people to use them or what barriers there are to accessing treatment. This project hopes to understand how people, including patients, professionals and members of the public, feel about using these medications.
