CPD for teachers

We began our series of FREE teacher CPD sessions to help teachers feel confident with the design, planning and implementation of PBL but unfortunately only managed to hold the first two sessions before the global pandemic closed the schools and universities.  We will be incorporating the information from the sessions held, as well as the resources we had planned for the final three sessions, in our upcoming teacher resource guide, to be published in Autumn 2020.

Session 1:  22nd January 2020

Learn about the principles of PBL and how to develop a network of contacts, and think about what you'd like to change about your teaching and learning context and how PBL can help you to teach your subject, but in a different way!

Session 2:  10th February 2020

Developing subject knowledge and procedural thinking through PBL - with Julie McGrane and Anne de A'Echevarria.

Session 3:  25th March 2020  - cancelled

How do you decide on a product and showcase for your project?  There will be presentations and discussion on a range of products and showcases from recent university-linked PBL initiatives.

Monitoring, evaluation and assessment - how do we measure progress, success and impact in PBL curricula?
