Law

Developing skills for university and a future career

A level Law is a thinking, writing, debating and learning subject. Students need to be able to understand precision use of language and to write clearly, and learn how to argue, on paper and in class, to develop and defend their views on how legal principles apply to specific situations.

A Project-Based Learning approach can help students to connect the real-life application of these skills to their classroom learning and research.  Bringing the legal principles to life by replicating a courtroom, taking on roles, welcoming law professionals as speakers or visiting a Crown Court can all make the learning more authentic and interactive.
