Pupils from Corbridge Middle School worked with a PhD student, history and engineering lecturers at Newcastle University, and the Education Outreach team in Special Collections at Robinson Library to develop interactive digital artefacts using coding.

Megan Wilson, PhD Student at Newcastle University, devised the Interactive Archives project as part of her research, and worked collaboratively with Robinson Library Special Collections and Archives Education Outreach team to incorporate her project plan into a curriculum embedded project with Corbridge Middle School. After reflecting on the project with Corbridge Middle School, we were contacted by a teacher at Ferryhill Business and Enterprise College who was looking for a way to embed PBL into her Year 7 history curriculum. The second phase of Interactive archives, this time looking at the Civil War, is in development.
