The Keelmen's Hospital & Remembering the Past

Oral histories of the building’s postwar life will be carried out by North East-based community group Remembering the Past, when it served as tenement housing before being student accommodation for Newcastle Technical College until 2009. Alex is Development Manager for Remembering the Past and will be helping support their volunteers in collecting oral histories of the Hospital. Remembering the Past have worked with the Collective previously on the 2023-‘24 English Heritage project Women in Shipbuilding, part of the Lloyds Register Foundation’s Rewriting Women into Maritime History initiative.
