Funded Projects

Accessing the Wellbeing Commons

Collective Associate Researcher Dr Lena Ferriday will work on the UK aspect of the project, where she will be conducting oral history interviews with wild swimmers in Devon, in the South West of England.

The project seeks to explore inequalities in access to the natural world as a health resource, an issue of increasing significance for global justice as the climate crisis continues. It will also explore hot springs and medical plant pastures in Sikkim, India, and mineral springs in Mongolia. Aims for the project include developing understandings of the complex nature of social and environmental exclusion and barriers to access to the natural world.
