- Venue: Online
- Start: Thu, 30 Sep 2021 13:00:00 BST
- End: Thu, 30 Sep 2021 16:30:00 BST
This inter-disciplinary workshop brings together researchers across the UK who have been looking at community responses to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the ways the crisis intersects with the legacies of a decade of Austerity policy.
The workshop will begin with a keynote presentation from Maddy Power, Research Fellow in the Department of Health Sciences, University of York. Maddy Power's research focuses on inequalities in access to food, the lived experience of poverty and food insecurity, and emergency food systems.
After this, a number of speakers will contribute from their research on mutual aid and inequality, including NOHUC's Alison Atkinson-Phillips and Silvie Fisch, as well as: Rotem Peratch (University of Sussex), Emma O'Dwyer (Kingston University), Cat O'Neil (Teeside University) and Tammy Walker (Durham University).
