• Kath is an experienced oral historian and was one of the Oral History Society's Regional Networkers.

Kath was director of Remembering the Past, a local charity that specialises in collaboratively collecting memories and sharing them with a wider audience. Kath is a skilled trainer, who works with a team of volunteers. She was also one of the Oral History Society's Regional Networkers for the North East. 

Kath built up Remembering the Past from a small time-limited project to a visionary charity that is deeply embedded in the local community.

Kath's work pioneered oral history and reminiscence work as a tool for collecting the history that is lock in people's heads. Her work demonstrates the value of this kind of community engagement for individuals at risk of social isolation and loneliness.
