Project Partners

Newcastle University is pleased to be working with project partners:

The Bewick Society: The aim of the Bewick Society is to promote an interest in the life and work of Thomas Bewick and related subjects, especially with regard to wood-engraving. The Society publishes a journal called the Cherryburn Times, which provides a forum for the activities of the Society and keeps members informed about the latest research into the life and work of Bewick and his apprentices, and arranges visits to special collections. It encourages the development of facilities for conservation and display of Bewick related materials, including wood-engraving as practised by those following in Bewick’s footsteps. National Trust: The National Trust is Europe’s largest conservation charity. It protects and cares for places so people and nature can thrive. Many millions share the belief that nature, beauty and history are for everyone and the National Trust looks after the nation’s coastline, historic sites, countryside and green spaces, ensuring everyone benefits. In this, it is supported by millions of members, volunteers, staff and donors. Find out more about the National Trust here.

Arts&Heritage: Arts&Heritage forges collaborations between contemporary artists and heritage organisations to create new perspectives for diverse audiences. Its projects bring to life the narratives, atmosphere, and architecture of histories and places. Find out more about Arts&Heritage here.
