A Policy Crossroads: Infant Formula Marketing and Australia’s Food Security Strategy

Members Naomi Hull, Dr Libby Salmon, and Dr Jennifer Hocking have contributed a new blog exploring a critical moment in Australian public health policy.

This blog sets out to highlight the fact that the Australian Federal Department of Health and Aged Care is currently in the process of working out how best to regulate formula marketing, while the Federal Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is drafting Australia's 'food security' strategy — this is a policy crossroads and an opportunity that comes once in a generation or longer.

Now is the time to put the health and food security of infants and young children before profit.
