How important a part do books play in your life?

Probably too much. [laughter] My other half plays … When he’s at home he plays Candy Crush and things like that on his laptop. I mean, I can’t be bothered. I play Patience on the computer and things like that. But he just finds that thoroughly relaxing when he’s watching the TV. So he disappears into that world between the telly and that, whereas I disappear into my books. I would be lost without them.
