Lakeshore Partnership

The team recently visited Lakeshore Railroad to experience riding the locomotive, as well as learn about some important aspects of the design of miniature locomotives. Special thanks to Mike, Ryan and Liam for showing the team around the workshop and for the insights they provided with our designs. We are excited to work with volunteers at Lakeshore and hope that in years to come, they can become a partner for the team.

Why Lakeshore?

Lakeshore is currently the only public, steam working 9 1/2 inch gauge railway in the UK. Lakeshore Railroad was first opened in 1972 and is still going strong to this day! Running for just under a third of a mile round the boating lake, the tracks meander through the trees and over the level crossings before arriving back at the station.
