Welcome to NECEM

We are pleased to announce the foundation of the EPSRC North East Centre for Energy Materials (NECEM) which will address the global challenges of rising energy demand, climate change, and the problems associated with finding sustainable methods to solve these problems.

Led by Professor Ulrich Stimming, the Centre will aim to provide synergy between engineers, chemists, biologists, and physicists to generate breakthroughs in understanding interfacial and surface processes and the discovery of new functional materials and methods.
