NECEM Summer School: "X-rays for Energy Materials"
We are looking forward to welcoming you to the first NECEM summer school, dedicated to the use of x-rays in the understanding and development of energy materials. The summer school is to be held at Newcastle University from Wednesday 5th to Friday 7th September at the Barbara Strang Teaching Centre (BSTC).
The school includes experts speakers in both diffraction (Dr Mike Probert and Dr Mike Toney) and spectroscopy (Dr Sofia Diaz Moreno and Dr Ute Cappel) as well as a special seminar on energy storage by Professor Peter Bruce from the University of Oxford. The summer school also includes wider academic training in ‘How to publish your work’ from the editorial team of Energy & Environmental Science and 'How energy materials researchers can feed into Parliament and how Parliament uses science research' delivered by the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST). Networking and opportunities to showcase your research in flash presentation style will also be available.
We look forward to seeing you in Newcastle! For further information, including details on registration, schedule, refreshments, accommodation, and poster abstract guidelines please download and refer to the documents and map given below:
