Prof Quentin Fisher
- Professor in Earth Sciences School of Earth and Environment, University of Leeds
- Quentin has expertise in geology, geomechanics, petrophysics, and fault and top seal analysis.
Quentin conducts multidisciplinary research involving the integration of geology, petrophysics, geomechanics, petroleum engineering and geophysics. Fisher conducted his PhD on the isotope geochemistry of black shales. He then spent over 15 years working for RDR Ltd conducting consultancy work for the petroleum industry on fault-related fluid flow, fault sealing and top seal analysis. More recently, Fisher has been PI and Co-PI on a large number of joint industry projects researching areas such as the petrophysics of shale and tight gas reservoirs, coupled flow-geomechanical-geophysical modelling of conventional and unconventional reservoirs, numerical modelling of hydraulic fracturing, and the multiphase flow properties of faults in siliciclastic and carbonate reservoirs. Fisher is CEO of Petriva Ltd a company specializing in the development of data visualization and data mining.
