Prof Maria Mastalerz

• Senior research geologist at the Indiana Geological and Water Survey Department of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, Indiana University
• Maria has expertise in coal geology, organic petrology, and geochemistry.

Maria's current projects include characterisation of Indiana coals, investigation of coalbed methane potential and CO₂ sorption into the coal, importance of stable isotopes in organic matter maturation, coal gasification, and shale gas.
