You are invited to the launch of NetZero Geothermal Research for District Infrastructure, funded by EPSRC as part of their Decarbonising Heating and Cooling Programme. This event will take place on Zoom and introduce you to the research project and provide the opportunity to take a look at the research facility and its site (Helix site, Newcastle) from an aerial view.
The research project will address fundamental challenges in understanding heat transport and the engineering challenges of integrating geothermal energy to whole energy systems. Our interdisciplinary research, delivered in partnership with industry, local authority and the public, will deliver unique research with societal, economic and regulatory impact.
