Matthew Kent Myers

Matthew Kent Myers is a 2nd year PhD candidate in the school of Electrical and Electronic Engineering specialising in applying image and action recognition models to the manufacturing environment. His current work focuses on atomic human action recognition within complex robotics assemblies for applications in Human Robot Collaboration and quality assurance.

 

Matthew received his MPhys in Physics and Astrophysics at the University of Sheffield in 2019. His thesis consisted of developing a machine learning algorithm to automatically classify detections in large astronomical survey images taken with the Universities co-owner telescope on La Palma in the Canary Islands.
