Georgia Atkinson

I graduated from Newcastle University in 2017 with an MMathStat in Mathematics and Statistics. In my final year, I worked with the Finance department of the car manufacturing company Nissan to help implement a baseline model to predict the cost of building new cars.

My current work focuses on applying deep learning and signal processing techniques to create a system that detects and classifies specific bottlenose dolphin vocalisations, known as signature whistles, that can be used to identify individuals.
