Project Summary: The project aims to develop a novel method of targeted protein degradation against cancer associated targets. This method will follow a similar principle to PROTACs but, in place of E3 ligase, an unstable protein will be used to induce degradation of the target protein. Where PROTACs require specific orientation of protein partners and the availability of a surface lysine residue, this method seeks to simplify the design process by theoretically only requiring proximity to degrade.
