Project Summary: DNA-encoded libraries (DELs) are of increasing importance in medicinal chemistry. Current methods for library synthesis are restricted by the lack of efficient reactions that are compatible with DNA. Development of methods for the on-DNA formation of heteroaryl systems would greatly improve access to drug-like chemical space. My project will explore the use of micellar catalysis for the formation of various heterocyclic core scaffolds to ultimately synthesise libraries of these compounds.

Interesting Fact: I was assistant referee in Boccia at the 2015 Special Olympics qualifiers
