Project Summary: We are interested in modulation of the glucokinase enzyme (GK) in order to better understand the role that glucose metabolism has to play in the development and potential treatment of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). Specifically, the project centres around the synthesis of novel chemical tools to modulate glucokinase activity based on known allosteric activators.

Interesting Fact: I once ate 21 slices of pizza in one sitting, as part of an eating challenge.
