Steven was the Deputy Co-coordinator of the EU funded Fluor21 ITN (2014-2018, PhD training network of 11 academic/industrial partners across Europe).

He is currently Director of the Biophysical Sciences Institute and the Deputy Director of the £7.8M MRC / GCRF-funded Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases at Durham.

He is currently the UK representative on the European Peptide Society Council.

Steven is a Research project supervisor, Training Programme Lead and a MoSMedCDT Executive member.
