Professor Ehmke Pohl

Ehmke has wide international research and postgraduate training experience as Team Leader at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) and the Principal Beam Line Scientist at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland, where he was responsible for the construction and management of the Novartis/Hoffmann La Roche/Max Planck Society beam line 2003-2007.

As the Co-director of the Biophysical Science Institute (Durham) and the 2017 coordinator of the Virus-X consortium (£8M Euro H2020, 14 academic and industrial partners) he has proven a track record of managing and leading multi-partner networks across industry and academia.
