Poster prize at UKQSAR Autumn meeting

The meeting was hosted by the Medicines Discovery Catapult with presentations focussed on computational methods to accelerate hit-to-lead and lead-optimisation from academics, big pharma and biotech companies.

The poster covers the early work Rachael has done towards her thesis in developing a new molecular descriptor based on the surface of a molecule and some of the advantages and challenges she's found so far. The plan (if it works!) is to apply this to virtual screening for new drugs for projects of interest to the Newcastle Centre for Cancer.
