NUCancer win for Elle Watson

At the February 2026 NUCancer PGR Conference, Elle Watson (Cohort 5) won the 1st place prize for her presentation, 'Development of DNA-PK targeting PROTACs to maximise DNA-PK blockage in advanced prostate cancer'.

Elle, supervised by Dr Celine Cano, had this to say on the conference win: "I thoroughly enjoyed the conference and found it insightful to hear from like-minded researchers from a range of disciplines within the cancer research field. Congratulations to the other incredible researchers awarded for their talks and posters."

The presentation forms part of a series of successes for Elle, who also won the second place poster prize at the previous NUCancer conference in 2025.
