Sygnature Discovery Visit

We are delighted to announce that Dr James Pickles and Dr Manish Pareek will be joining us from Sygnature Discovery on 25th November 2022.
A talk will be taking place in the Bedson Building 1.75 from 10.00-11.00am. Please see below for further details:
Sygnature Discovery is a contract research organisation (CRO) and has the largest chemistry department in the UK. We provide expert synthetic and medicinal chemistry resource to multiple successful client programs, tackling challenging problems along the way. In this talk, we will snapshot the workings of a CRO, provide an insight into the role of an industrial medicinal chemist and provide you with interview hints & tips.
From 11.00-11.30am, a networking event will then follow in the Faraday Room, Bedson Building. All students and staff are welcome to attend these sessions. We would love to see you there!
PhD students, RAs/postdocs are then invited to sign up to a mock interview with the Sygnature team via the following form. Interviews will take place from 12.45-5pm in BSTC.G.34, Barbara Strang Teaching Centre. Interviews will last 45 minutes, and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis via the form. You will be notified of your interview time a few days before the event. Interviews will likely include a synthesis problem as well as some technical questions.
